WOMEN ONLY TRIATHLON CLINIC
Women only triathlon clinic Tuesday 18th of August.
The Verbier Triathlon Club will be hosting a women-only triathlon clinic on Tuesday 11th of August. This one day clinic is designed to introduce the sport of triathlon to women. We will spend a pleasant day together combining short sessions of bike, run and swim coaching balanced out with a session of yoga and healthy nutrition. This event is open to all levels so don’t be shy if you are new to triathlon! The package includes all material, coaching and entry fees. We have arranged road bike rentals for those that do not have a bike, on a first-come first serve basis.
Whilst we encourage women to join us for the entire day, a half-day session is available from 13:00 or even an after work session from 16:15 for people living in the region.
Full day: 45 CHF / full day with bike: 65 CHF / half day: 30 CHF / half day with bike: 50 CHF / after work session: 20 CHF.
PROGRAM FOR THE DAY
09h00: greet and material sorting at parking Hermitage
09h30: Bike knowledge: gear use, brake use, information on power-meter use for the advanced
10h00: Open water swimming overview and strategies
10h30: swim coaching at the Mondzeu pool in Verbier, 2 levels.
12h00: light healthy lunch in Verbier
12h45: transfer to le Châble / descend on the bike to le Châble
13h00: greet and material sorting for the afternoon guests at place Curala.
13h30: nutrition clinic at AST health centre le Châble
14h15: bike-ride; 2 distances: Experience: 15km (150m alt) Olympic: 30km (450m alt)
14h15: in case of heavy rain replaced with a spinning session at AST
AFTER WORK SESSION
16h00: greet the participants for the after-work session at st marc le Châble
16h00: healthy snack and drink at st Marc le Châble for all.
16h15: transition set-up and practice at st Marc le Châble
16h45: light run working on breathing and movement of the arms and legs.
17h30: yoga session at the AST health centre le Châble
19h00: finish for those that have been with us for the day and want to leave
19h00: bike-ride for working women (this part will be postponed in case of heavy rain).
20h30: finish with a snack and drinks
